The Ferdinand Monarchia Restaurant & Czech Brewery opened its doors in the 6th district for 13 years now. We had a hard time getting people to accept us, as Czech cuisine and hospitality are only as friendly as our own Hungarian hospitality. The dishes are not far from our taste buds, but due to the cooking and baking methods, they are different from what we are used to here. Not to mention the side dishes, as Czech cuisine offers many variations of dumplings with most dishes.

And of course, there is the beer culture, which connects everything and at the same time guides us into a completely new, albeit beautiful world, the world of beers. After the initial steps, we increasingly immerse ourselves in the depths of the diverse flavors, colors, and names of beers.

The journey has been long. 14 years. But the name Ferdinand is not just a name. This name is history itself. A family, a dynasty, intertwined with the history of Europe.

Ferenc Ferdinand is part of the Monarchy with his entire family and ancestors. And this realization and the results of our research brought a change to the life of the restaurant. The Ferdinand became pro-MONARCHY not only in its name, but also in its cuisine and spirit.

Our food and drinks introduce the well-deserved restaurant-going public to the world of happy peacetimes. Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Bratislava, Transylvania and Partium, the South, a drop of Italy. A world of a thousand colors full of food wonders and drink specialties.

Both guests and we, the hosts, had to get used to this new type of hospitality here in Pest. After all, we undertook nothing less than to sneak a little bit of Bohemia and the Monarchy into your food, into the moments you spend here. All of this here, on Király Street.
